Enrichment Ideas One of the major reasons that teachers become involved in
differentiation is to create enrichment experiences for students who can
go beyond the "aim for the middle and hope we hit everyone" philosophy.
In addition here is where I'm stepping out of the box. I
believe that Daniel Pink's book, A Whole New Mind, is an avenue
for enrichment. Pink's book outlines six senses needing to be developed
for future success in our changing and global society: empathy, play,
story, design, symphony and meaning. Here are one resources that discuss
the book: Also, here is a link to an article about left brain versus right brain and a test to determine dominance: http://www2.scholastic.com/browse/article.jsp?id=3629 Please take time to examine the definition of enrichment before jumping in - do you want to students to go deeper with a topic or concept or do you want to accelerate their learning?
